What can I say about this latest album for Wasted Robot Records? — For my first live-comedy recording during a global pandemic, it went surprisingly smoothly, and provided some much-needed laughter. It’s awesome to work with great local comedy talent, and to work with a team that really cares about making great live albums!
I’ve been watching Megan perform for years, and she really brought her A-game for the crowd that night.
On the technical side, this is the first live comedy album I’ve recorded without a computer. I’ve been using a laptop live-recording rig for well over a decade, but I wanted something smaller — I finally got a high-end portable recording system (Sound Devices MixPre) that gives me the quality and flexibility I need, while being incredibly compact.
